Privacy Policy — HK Bus
HK Bus is a Hong Kong bus routes and live arrival-times iOS app. No account or login is required.
- Publisher
- Bitstash (Hong Kong sole proprietorship).
- What we collect
-
Approximate location — only while you use the app, and only if you grant permission — to suggest the nearest stop.
App usage events we choose (for example app open, route search, starred stop, feedback, install), sent to our self-hosted analytics (Umami). These events do not include your name, email, or advertising IDs.
A device install identifier created with Apple App Attest, used so our server can recognise a genuine install and check Premium status.
Purchase / subscription status via Apple and RevenueCat (product id, entitlement, renewal state). Payment details stay with Apple.
Optional feedback you send from the app.
- How we use it
- Operate the app (routes, ETAs, saved stops), unlock Premium features you buy, understand aggregate product usage, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal data. We do not use the data for third-party advertising.
- Sharing
-
Apple (App Store / In-App Purchase).
RevenueCat (subscription status).
Our hosting providers for the API and analytics we operate.
We do not share data with other apps’ advertisers.
- Retention
- Install sessions and analytics events are kept only as long as needed to run and improve the service, then deleted or aggregated. You can delete the app at any time; that ends new collection from that install.
- Your rights (HK PDPO)
- Contact hello@bitstash.tech for access, correction, or deletion requests about data we hold.
- Children
- Not directed at children under 13.
- Changes
- We may update this page; the “Last updated” date will change when we do.
