User data deletion — Bitstash
How to ask Bitstash to delete personal data related to our products, including Clinic WA and Meta Platform Data. This page is the dedicated instructions URL for Meta App Review.
- How to request
- Email hello@bitstash.tech with subject “Data deletion request”. Include: your name, email used with Bitstash or the clinic product, which product (for example Clinic WA), and what you want deleted. For clinic patient / WhatsApp data, include the clinic name or clinic ID so we can route the request.
- Identity check
- We may ask for reasonable proof that you control the account or are authorised to request deletion (for example confirming the staff login email, or a clinic admin confirming a patient request). We will not delete another person’s data without that check.
- Timing
- We aim to complete verified deletion requests within about 30 days. You will get an email confirmation when the request is received and when it is done (or if we need more information).
- Staff / Bitstash accounts
- Clinic staff and Bitstash account holders: email hello@bitstash.tech (or ask your clinic admin). We delete or deactivate the account profile and related access in our systems after verification.
- Meta Platform data
- If you connected a WhatsApp Business account or otherwise shared Meta Platform Data (for example public_profile-style fields used in Embedded Signup) with Bitstash as Tech Provider, email hello@bitstash.tech. We delete that Platform Data we hold for providing the product, subject to Meta’s terms and any short retention needed for security or legal logs.
- Patient / WhatsApp (clinic)
- The clinic is the data user for patient and WhatsApp conversation content; Bitstash processes that data on the clinic’s behalf. Prefer asking the clinic admin first. You may also email hello@bitstash.tech with the clinic ID or clinic name; we will coordinate with that clinic. We do not use that data for advertising or for other clinics.
- What is deleted
- After verification we delete or anonymise personal data in active product systems (accounts, inbox threads we can identify, WABA linkage metadata we hold). Backups and security logs may retain copies for a short period until they rotate; they are not used for product features. We may keep minimal records of the deletion request itself.
